About The Artist:
Hi! I'm Betsy Connell, I live in Plymouth Mass. My husband and I have two grown sons, and a grandchild. We all love the beach and are drawn to the beach and the ocean as I'm sure you are.
I am drawn to the ocean because it holds a rare balance of serenity and power that speaks to something primal within me.
Its rhythmic waves and endless horizon create a sense of calm that soothes, while its vastness reminds me both of my smallness and my connection to something greater.
The ocean’s beauty, shifting colors, and dancing light, are always a joyful source of inspiration for me.
The Story Behind The Bucket..
My Mom always signed every card, note and email, “With Buckets of Love, Mom”.
As a child, my Mom saw how much I loved to create and she encouraged me, and I was incredible fortunate my Mom had an artist friend who provided me with personal art lessons. That was another way of my Mom filling my bucket with love. Mom’s are always filling their children’s buckets, be it the lunch bag, backpack, her taxi service, extra hugs and snuggles on demand, you name it- Moms provide it!
My Mom loved the ocean, its vastness, beauty, strength and power, and no matter what ocean shore I find myself walking on, I feel my Moms presence as deeply as the rhythm of the waves themselves, and I know she walks beside me.
